Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I need a Cool Rooms air conditioning unit?

Cool Rooms air conditioning units are mainly used to heat or cool the air. However they can also dehumidify, clean and distribute the air. This new generation 3 in 1 technology is offered to you in a slimline compact unit that requires no unsightly pipework or bulky external unit.

How does the Cool Rooms unit work?

One air conditioning unit can control air quality in a room of up to 30m² offering you the exact temperature and humidity control you require at the touch of a button. The unit can be controlled either using the remote control or the control panel situated on the front of the unit.

During the day it will allow you to be more focused and during the night it will allow you to sleep more comfortably. Studies show that staff performance rises by approximately 20% thanks to the cleaner air with balanced humidity provided by the air filters that remove dust, pollen, and smoke particles. The units also limit the population of dust mites and growth of moulds which has a beneficial effect on you, your family or your staff's health.

Is it environmentally friendly?

Cool Rooms units have been awarded an "A" rating under the European energy directive. The system works in combination with the air from outside, bringing it in or letting it out and is a low carbon alternative to traditional forms of heating or cooling.

Is the installation entirely DIY or does it require specialist equipment?

Cool Rooms offer installation of the unit by our professional engineers. However, if you want to install it yourself then you would need a core drill, which can be hired from any suitable hire shop.

Does it come with all materials, parts and installation instructions?

Is there any plumbing required?

Can the unit vent through a standard 4 inch duct like a portable unit generally does?
